Word of the Day: SATAN

Satan (Hebrew: שָּׂטָן satan, meaning "adversary";[1] Arabic: شيطان shaitan, meaning; "astray", "distant", or sometimes "devil") is a figure appearing in the texts of the Abrahamic religions[2][3] who brings evil and temptation, and is known as the deceiver who leads humanity astray. Some religious groups teach that he originated as an angel who fell out of favor with God, seducing humanity into the ways of sin, and who has power in the fallen world. In the Hebrew Bible and the New Testament, Satan is primarily an accuser and adversary, a decidedly malevolent entity, also called the devil, who possesses demonic qualities. (Wikipedia)

This thing's got a reasonable amount of CLASS (7A: Sophomores or seniors). I mean it isn't every day you see the ultimate evil of the Abrahamic tradition crossing a type of belly button, is it? That's right, SATAN's (1D: The devil) partying it up in style with his OUTIE (6A: Protruding belly button). I don't usually like seeing either INNIE or OUTIE in my grid but I will make an exception in this case. In any event, can we all agree that "The Adversary" is an appellation for the devil that we need to invoke more often? I'm not saying it has to be a RULE or anything (5D: "No shirt, no shoes, no service", e.g.), but it should totally be a rule.

I don't have anything against CRAZY EYES (4A/3D:Emmy-winning role on "Orange is the New Black"), but the show never seemed that interesting to me. Excepting Kate Mulgrew of course, who is always a treat to watch, I just don't really KEN what people think is so great about it (8A: Documentary filmmaker burns). But no matter; c'est la goût.

Well that's about all the life I can squeeze out of this thing. What more do you want? It's not like this is a KenKen puzzle blog or something.
